Welcome to Blue Sky Walks

Self Guided Walks & Places to Stay in The Stour Valley and Dedham Vale.

We offer a range of well researched walks and carefully selected Bed & Breakfast accommodation packages in the Stour Valley and Dedham Vale, on the Suffolk/Essex border.

Take a few days to explore this picturesque corner of lowland England at your own pace, where traditional riverside meadows, well preserved medieval villages and gentle hills combine to give rewarding walking.

The lower part of the Stour Valley includes the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2010. Just 60 miles from London, the area is famous as the birthplace of the artist John Constable and many of his iconic subjects are still in their original surroundings.
